size guide
Our garments have a regular fit, unless we indicate otherwise in the product description. This means that you will not find major differences between what is usual in our size compared to other brands that you use. When we launch a different product or one that has some peculiarity, we usually indicate it on the product page itself.
However, we also provide you with guidance on how to take measurements and what measurements to take in order to get the best possible fit with our sizes.
If you still have questions, remember that you can contact us by email at info@climberscode.com or leave us a message in the chat : ). We will respond as soon as possible.
HOW TO TAKE YOUR MEASUREMENTS?
To take your measurements you need a sewing tape measure . If you don't have one, you can use a measuring tape or a ruler, but this is not recommended.
A pencil and a sheet of paper are good for jotting down measurements. You can also use your smartphone's notes to save measurements and have them always at hand.
You should measure yourself without clothing . Do not take measurements with a sweater and a jacket on because you will end up with a size that is too big for you.
The measuring tape should fit snugly around your waist. Do not over-tighten or leave it loose.
WHAT SHOULD YOU MEASURE?
- To measure your chest, place the tape under your armpit at the widest part of your chest. For women, the tape measure should go over the nipples, not under or over the breasts.
- To measure your waist, take the measuring tape and measure yourself at the midpoint between the costal margin and the upper edge of the iliac crest. In some people, this point coincides with the navel, and in others, the navel is 2-3 cm below.
- To measure your hips, you should close your legs and measure your circumference around the widest part of your rear end.
- To measure the length of the torso, you should place the measuring tape where the shoulder meets the neck and measure up to the height of the hips. This is a secondary measurement that can help you know how far the garment will reach.
These are the most important measurements. Once you have them , you should go to the sizing section to compare them with those of the product, taking into account these details :
- Our clothing in general has a lot of elasticity and strength . Some garments much more than others. This allows a size to have more room for use.
- Fabrics may shrink when washed if you use water above 30 degrees. If your measurements are within the range of two sizes, always choose the larger one . You won't regret it because it is better to wear it a bit loose and it may shrink a bit with washing.
- The fabric has an influence . The blend and composition of the fabric influences its elasticity and fit. You already know that Lycra is more elastic than merino wool, for example. Our garments are made from 100% cotton, and organic cotton.
- Some items of clothing go on top of others . If you choose a size that is already too tight, you may end up wearing something too tight. Example: a sweatshirt that goes on top of a t-shirt.
- It is not recommended to wash above 30 degrees or use a dryer.
- No special drying is necessary.
